About
The New Delhi Review of Books is India’s magazine for sustained conversations around books. The first issue will be out in July 2026!
We are interested in books across genres and time—politics, history, economics, culture, literature, and every other relevant theme, and seek to draw their relevance for India today. Every published piece is expected to do at least three things: first, identify what the book is fundamentally arguing. Second, assess whether the argument holds, and third, locate the work within the broader intellectual and policy landscape of India.
We are a monthly publication and do not publish for the sake of publishing; we may as well go with only one review. It is published for readers who are willing to engage with developed arguments and who expect a review to do more than report what a book contains.
